  Yet  This place feels dark to me It creates feelings I cannot see The past has caused such devastation It is beyond my heart's comprehension Where do I go with all these emotions Do I hide them so they will be no commotion I stay paralysed by trauma and pain Not able to move due to a lock and chain Yet, I hear in a prophet's heart Being thankful to God is the start Through joy, pain, life and death  Singing praise should be on our breath Yet, it is a conscious decision to praise When all our emotions send us into a haze Feeling trapped,bound and no voice Something amazing happens as we rejoice It is hard to make a joyful sound As raw emotions come up and fly around Yet, keep going and press through Thankful for His great love for me and you

Broken sleep is not much fun Rest, concentration, stopped one by one Broken lives causes tumultuous heartache  Families, friendships, trauma it can make Yet take heart as you can know That there is restoration that can flow Where can this change happen for me Let's go on this journey and see  Restoration is not throwing you away It's learning something different this day Our mind and heart may say "I am bad" Yet, the truth can be explored and had  Born not by chance or cosmic dust Nor, are you faulty or left to rust  It is, that you are precious and wanted all along The Father sings over you a great love song  So how can I begin to access this truth  I want this internalised and not stay aloof  Reach out with words, a shout or a tear  Your heavenly Father is attentive and will hear

  Press on and imagine more Be amazed and go beyond the shore Venture out and you will see The fun, joy that will explode completely  Abandon the mindset of holding back Life is created to explore a new track Discover your true identity  This will in turn give you liberty  Wonderfully and beautifully  made Know this truth and not be swayed The hebrew writings cry this out  Ponder and real hope will sprout  As you press on and explore Be brave and take a step out the door As you are willing to move in a fresh way You can see something new this day This Trail will be new and exciting The Father's heart is inviting Throughout this journey , one thing is true, The Father desires to spend more time with me and you.

  Rewrite I can see a different perspective now How suddenly past events have a wow Its not denial or wishful thinking But being saved and not sinking Take a look and reflect How help has come with a powerful effect Transformation is not by chance in this case The help has come with love and grace My help comes from above the psalmist said I know that He has kept me alive not dead Angels watching over me , everywhere I go Amy Grant sang this and the truth is so So, look back and see for yourself Events do not need to stay on a "trauma" shelf Help can come from above, I say To highlight events in a different way The healing continues as we say As we see our stories in a changed way The knowledge that we were never alone Brings such a profound truth home

I have many options to choose in life They can lead to joy or strife Options appear every day Choices, I make set the way Consequences are profound on what I select The decision I make can have a great affect Following my own wants and desires May not lead to the best that is required As I process it can be a struggle I have many options that I juggle Its my life and I am the boss But this mindset can cause a great loss It can bring an inner turmoil in my head Mental gymnastics, multiple thoughts spread As I tussle with the pros and cons Whether to make the best choice and walk on It's up to me and my choice, Yet a different way has a voice This way is to pause and consider Thinking of others is much bigger In our hearts may love reign As selfish thoughts just drain Choices we make effect everything Thinking of others gives life a spring
