Lockdown, lockdown is all I hear
My heart sinks as normality goes, I fear
Its not the same four walls or rules to abide
That gives me a sinking feeling inside

The ache in my heart is for seeing others
Friendships fills life with multiple colours
Created we were, for family and friends
Connections with young, old and hidden gems

The yearning inside cries out to be heard
Feeling alone, makes life feel blurred
Loneliness numbs and eats away
The balance of life that was here to stay

Stripped away are my comforts and peace
What can be done to bring release
I've tried all the tv series on earth
Foods, leisure are no real worth

Yet deep within is a far reaching truth
It's simple to grasp and not aloof
You are not alone where you are
Whether you feel ok or below par

The Father above wants to connect
His care and love have a profound effect
He knows your heart and thoughts you hold
The worries and fears that grow like mould

How can I connect with the Father above
Help, a cry from the heart be heard
Vulnerable and open can find the way
His heart and love He will display

Lockdown can be physical or in the mind
This state can make you feel completely blind
Yet there is hope and peace like a dove
Look up and cry for help to the one above
